Privacy Policy for Silence Timer

Hiperborean Tech ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Silence Timer mobile application (the "Service"). This Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data.

Privacy Commitment: We respect your meditation practice. We only collect the data necessary
        to provide and improve the features you choose to use, such as cloud synchronization, anonymous analytics,
        and feedback.

1. Data Collection and Use

A. Offline Use, Anonymous Analytics, and Feedback

Silence Timer can be used without creating an account, and core timer functionality works locally on your device. In addition, anonymous analytics are enabled by default unless you disable them in the app Settings.

When anonymous analytics are enabled, we may collect:

Screen and navigation events, such as screen views, tab changes, onboarding visibility, sound library usage, and other app surface interactions.
Timer and session interaction metadata, such as configured duration, whether a session is timed or open-ended, bell count, and session start, pause, resume, reset, and save events.
Settings and feature interaction data, such as changes to timer units, background type, counter type, keep-screen-awake, silent mode, date format, analytics preference, and similar settings.
Paywall and purchase funnel events, such as paywall source, slides viewed, time spent, plans selected, CTA presses, restore attempts, purchase starts, purchase completions, conversions, and purchase errors.
Technical context, such as app version, platform, client timestamps, and a locally generated anonymous identifier used to associate related analytics events and survey submissions from the same device.

These anonymous analytics events are designed not to include direct identifiers such as your name, email address, diary notes, or payment card details.

If you voluntarily submit update surveys or feedback prompts, we may also collect the options you select, any free-form feedback you provide, app version, platform, language, and the same anonymous identifier described above.

You can disable anonymous analytics at any time from Settings. Disabling analytics stops future analytics collection and clears locally queued analytics events that have not yet been uploaded. It does not automatically delete analytics or survey records already stored on our servers.

B. Synced Users (Account Holders)

If you create an account to use the cloud Sync feature, we collect additional data to synchronize your experience across devices:

Authentication Data: Email address and basic profile info provided via Google, Apple, or Email sign-in.
Synced App Data: Timer Presets, Preset Groups, Meditation Diary/Logs, Usage Statistics, App Settings, and Custom Sounds (audio files). This data is securely stored on Firebase.

C. In-App Subscriptions

Payments for premium subscriptions are processed entirely by your App Store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). We do not collect, process, or store credit card details. We may receive purchase status information, receipts, and product identifiers needed to grant, validate, or restore premium access.

D. Email Communications

If you choose to send us feedback by email, we will receive your email address and any information you include in the message body.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party services to facilitate the Service:

Firebase (Google LLC): Used for secure authentication and storing synced app data and anonymous analytics events and surveys. Google's Privacy Policy
Google Play Store / Apple App Store: These platforms process payments, manage subscription billing, and support purchase restoration according to their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Data Security

We use industry-standard protections made available by our service providers, including Firebase security features, to protect your data in transit and at rest.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain anonymous analytics and survey data as long as reasonably necessary to analyze trends, improve the application, diagnose issues, and evaluate product changes.

Analytics Disabled by User: If you disable anonymous analytics, future analytics events will no longer be collected and any locally queued analytics events that were not yet uploaded will be deleted from the device.
In-App Deletion: You may use the "Delete All Synced Data" feature within the Sync tab to permanently remove all your cloud-stored data (presets, logs, custom sounds, and stats) from our servers at any time. This action does not affect the data stored locally on your device.
Account Deletion: You may request account deletion at any time, which will permanently delete your account and all associated synced data from our servers.
Anonymous Records: Because anonymous analytics and survey records do not directly identify you, we may not be able to locate a specific record for deletion unless you can provide enough detail to identify it.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy and changing the "Last Updated" date above.
