Terms and Conditions for Silence Timer

Welcome to Silence Timer! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Silence Timer mobile application (the "Service") operated by Hiperborean Tech ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the Service

Silence Timer provides tools for meditation, including timers, preset groups, sounds, meditation logs, support features, and related app functionality. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service strictly following these Terms.

2. Anonymous Analytics and Feedback

To understand how Silence Timer is used and to improve the product, the Service may collect anonymous usage analytics and survey or feedback submissions as described in the Privacy Policy.

  • These analytics may include screen views, feature interactions, timer and session metadata, settings changes, paywall interactions, purchase funnel events, technical context, and a locally generated anonymous identifier.
  • Anonymous analytics are enabled by default in the app, but you can disable them at any time from Settings.
  • Disabling analytics stops future analytics collection and clears locally queued analytics events that have not yet been uploaded. It does not automatically remove analytics or survey data already stored on our servers.

3. Syncing and Accounts

A "Sync" feature is available for users who create an account. Creating an account involves authentication through third parties (such as Google or Apple) or email.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activities under your account.
  • We rely on Firebase (Google) to securely store your data, including presets, diary entries, custom sounds, and stats.
  • Data Control: You have the right to wipe your cloud-stored data at any time using the "Delete All Synced Data" feature provided in the Sync tab. This allows you to reset your cloud profile while maintaining your local data.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Silence Timer offers in-app subscriptions ("Premium") to unlock advanced features like cloud Sync.

  • Processing: All subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by the platform's respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Hiperborean Tech does not process or store any payment information.
  • Purchase Validation: We may receive purchase status information, receipts, and product identifiers needed to activate, validate, or restore premium access on your device.
  • Auto-Renewal & Cancellation: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel or manage your subscriptions, please do so in your Google Play Store or Apple App Store account settings.
  • Refunds: Because payments are managed by Google or Apple, any refund requests must be directed to them, consistent with their respective refund policies.

5. User-Generated Content

As part of the syncing process, you may upload your own custom sound files to our servers.

  • Responsibility: By uploading custom sounds, you confirm that you have the right to use and distribute those audio files. We do not monitor user uploads, but we hold no liability for copyright infringement or illicit content.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hiperborean Tech disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied.

Furthermore, Hiperborean Tech and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Access and Modification

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service, including features related to analytics, subscriptions, and sync, at any time without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
